As part of the exhibition “ Minds Of The Machine” that took place last October, we presented an installation together with the AI ​​artist BASD-ART that was the centerpiece of the event: “ ai_am_jesus”. This work was not only an interplay of visual art, poetry and scent, but also an experiment that explores the multisensory possibilities of art.

BASD-ART and the vision behind “ai_am_jesus”
BASD-ART created the central image and poem of the installation. The portrait of Jesus – modernly interpreted yet iconic – invited a dialogue about contemporary and traditional imagery. The poem, recited by an AI voice, dealt with the biblical motif of transformation and created an auditory dimension that drew the viewer into the depths of the work.

The contribution of ART BRÜT: A fragrance as an art form
Our contribution to “ ai_am_jesus” was the creation of the fragrance “EAU MY GOD ”. Inspired by a dialogue between us and ChatGPT, which served as the creative basis for the composition of the fragrance, we wanted to create a fragrance that is more than a complement - a fragrance that is perceived as a work of art in its own right. Our aim was to offer an olfactory experience that not only accompanies the visual and auditory level of the installation, but intensifies and completes it.

The presentation of the fragrance
The challenge was not only in creating the fragrance, but also in its presentation. We wanted “EAU MY GOD ” to be more than just a background element; it should be at the centre of the sensory experience. Through an innovative presentation path that actively released the fragrance into the space, we involved visitors directly in the essence of the installation.

The lasting impact of “ai_am_jesus”
The installation “ ai_am_jesus” demonstrated how the combination of art, scent and technology can create a new level of interaction and experience. Through our collaboration with BASD-ART, we were able to create a holistic work of art that appealed to viewers on all sensory levels.

With “ ai_am_jesus” we, ART BRÜT and BASD-ART , have created an installation that invites a deeper engagement with art and shows that art is much more than what you see – it is an experience that encompasses all the senses.
